Knowing Romeo quiet well it doesnt surpise me that hes come to the conclussion that he'd kill himself once he heard about Juliets death. He is madly inlove with her and before in the book he said he would kill himself if he couldnt be with her even change his name since the families are enemies. He doesnt want to live without her so he might as well die with her.
The Apothecarys shop in Verona is very sketchy small and dark. Not many people enter it which makes the Apothecary very poor which makes the physical apperance of his shop very poor looking which wont attract any customers, i have never been inside but Ive heard it is very dirty

having known Romeo and Juliet as well as thier families i dont find Romeos idea to kill himself as something out of his character. I feel because I witnessed him sad one day over Rosealine and happy the next it doesnt come as a shock to me with his quick dession to kill himself. I have heard of the drug shop i have been inside only once on a lunch break to just look around, it was a very dark and it deffinatly gave me a not so great vibe.

    Maria:
Though I don't know Romeo very well, I have heard of some of the other decisions that he has made, and this one does not surprise me. Even before she died, the fact that he couldn't see her made him suicidal, and her death is even worse. This decision definitely fits Romeo's hasty personality. He made the decision to marry Juliet after only knowing her for a day, so his rash decision to kill himself after she died is not shocking to me at all. I just wish that he would stop and think about his decisions before he decided to rush into things.
The Apothecary's shop is very dark and dirty. The owner, a man who's name is unknown to most, is a poverty-stricken man who keeps to himself most of the time. I have never bought anything from there because I don't trust him enough to buy things that I'm going to consume. Overall, I try to stay away from that place.

Knowing Romeo and what he has done in the past I feel like this quick decision is right up his alley. He is always very quick to act. Just a couple of days ago Romeo said he was in love with this girl Rosaline. Two days later, he was married to a different girl! I feel that Romeo never fully thinks through his actions before he does them, and this decision to buy the potion might come back to haunt him.
The apothecary shop in Verona is downright disgusting, just like the owner of it. The store is always dark and dirty. It also has this weird smell to it, and for those reasons I have never and will never buy anything from that store.

I know Romeo, i know him well and I was not at all surprised by his quick desicion to kill himself. I am extremely scared yes and I do not want him too but he is known to be very extreme about his feelings. He is an extremist, if i do says o myself.
When i make trips to the apothecary, its usually to buy medicines for the Montagues, you know like herbs and good things. I don't go to buy drugs or anything, thats bad. But i will tell you that that place, the apothecary's, is not a happy place. Its small and scary and i try to get in and out extremely fast.

Now, from all the buzz around the Capulet Mansion about Romeo, I know quite a bit about him! While I fixed Juliet up she told me about their tough but lovely relationship, that was going a bit to fast for my taste! When I heard about Romeo's visit to the apothecary, I was not surprised. Romeo is a hopeless romantic and when he found out that Juliet passed, his one and only love I'm sure he wanted to kill himself, so they could end up together in the end. Romeo's decision was a somewhat quick one though as he did not think twice about his choices!

The apothecary shop is a small, creepy place. The man who runs the place is overweight because he does very well because of the location, there are many poor and wealthy people in the town of Verona on the medicines the apothecary sells, the prince does not do much because I think he does that secretly too. I do daily visits to the apothecary for the Capulet's, nothing of my own. I do not try to over stay my welcome, the people in there are so frightening!

Not knowing Romeo very well but I do know some background knowledge about the young man. I do certainly believe that Romeo killing himself so quickly was 100% in his character to do so. Romeo was so quick to "love" Juliet as he says he does and he is just the type of person to just jump to conclusion of what he wants, just like asking to marrying Juliet the very night that he met her, when he indeed never met her before that very night. Romeo makes his choices very quick he does not think about any consequences he just pretty much thinks and does, and he most certainly does not think twice about any of the choices that he does make. I think that the way he acts could really affect him because he lives based on assumptions, he doesn’t know that Juliet is indeed dead he’s just basing his information off of what he was told not what he say from his own eyes, so there are various things that could’ve happened that he is not thinking about which leads to a very tragic and confusing death.

The Apothecary shop personally creped me out, it was very shady, small, crammed and very scary. The man running the store even fits the store description just as much! He was a little overweight with hair just on the sides and a baldhead right on the top, to be honest I am not even certain he had 10 teeth, and plus the stench in there was awful! I do daily visits to the apothecary for the Capulet's, nothing of my own. I do not try to over stay my welcome because the place just scares me just as much as the man running it.

I, myself, do not know Romeo very well but I have heard many things about him and his personality. I think that Romeo killing himself so quickly was meant to be. Romeo was in love at first sight with Juliet and she was in love with him too. True love does have a very strong meaning that can create very strong emotions and feelings towards the person who you love. Romeo would do anything for Juliet even if it meant ending his life. Romeo is also the type of person who will act upon something right after he hears it because it means something to him and he cares about protecting himself and helping others out. Romeo sometimes doesn't think everything through so clearly that he will jump to many conclusions about important things that can have an impact in the long run. Romeo doesn't know if Juliet is actually 100% dead or not, he is just assuming that because of what he has heard from the people around him. The apothecary shop scared me in many ways. The shop was very small and tight feeling. The person working in the store looked very creepy looking. This man was very old looking and he could barley walk, he was limping and couldn't stand up straight. It was also very hard to understand him due to the fact that he had bad hygiene. I go to the apothecary to buy goods and foods for the Capulets house.

Handeling the pain of sweet Juliets death is almost impossible to live with. While going to pick up food from the bakery and a big flower pot for the Capulets, I over heard Friar Lawrence and his brother who is also a friar named John talking. Friar Lawrence was saying that the letter he wrote was very important and since John failed to send it to he wished to send it to, he needs to send another letter immediately. Friar Lawrence and John were going back in forth talking about how it is bad that the letter never got sent to Romeo. I began to wonder why they would write Romeo a letter! They also said " If Romeo does not know the plan, he will react quickly and in a dangerous way." Being the nosy women i am, I followed them back to church and couldn't quite make out the rest of the conversation. What plan?, Who did it involve? What will Romeo react to? How will Romeo act?
All though Romeo is a Montague and is banished from Verona, I am still curious! Later that night I was telling my husband about the conversation i heard. He thinks Romeo is reacting to something that effects him negatively. He will probably react very badly and maybe even kill himself. I have heard from many people that Romeo does what he wants as soon as he sets his mind to it. Like every teenage boy, they never think through something before they do it. Overall, I am just a curious women and whatever Romeo does to himself, i could care less because he is a Montague.
In Verona, there is one apothecary everyone goes to. I believe his name is Luigi Venchenzo. I never been there myself, because whenever someone in our house gets sick, we send our maid Maria over to pick up some medicine. However, every time Maria goes, we have to give her a lot of money because its a little bit pricy for the amount of medicine you get but its nothing we can't handle.

Romeo has one of the most unusual personalities in this great town of Verona, Italy for the past fifty years. He is cunning and gentle (most of the time), a sweet talker and hasty beyond belief. I've heard he could have loved three people within a week with all his heart, once they broke his heart they were nothing to him. The decision to kill himself is no surprise at all. All his rational is "my love is dead, now so am I". I would expect nothing less of him with these actions. I except he went into a dark alley near the edge of the town as a makeshift apothecary "shop". Vials with uncomfortable labels covering the walls on shelves. Candle shedding dim light, and a old, ragged, thin man in a ripped brown-ish chair speaking creepily to Romeo asking his wish at the shop. Romeo would buy the strongest of the potions, including deadly metal and animal venom;s.

I think Romeo's decision to kill himself was a spontaneous and impulse decision. It wasn't a surprise that he would think like this, because Romeo is an extremist. With Romeo he takes everything to the next level, and over exaggerates everything. If you think about how quickly he got over Rosaline, I'm sure if he gave a day or two after Juliet's "death," he'd be over it/her. The apothecary shop I go to is a little cottage a ways away from the center of town. It's owned by a woman about my age and she's very nice. She's very knowledgable about medicine and is always very helpful. She's not poor like the apothecary Romeo went to, so she's not in it for the money- she genuinely wants to make people fee better.

From what my cousin, Juliet, has told me about Romeo, his decision to kill himself doesn't shock me. Romeo has been madly in love with Juliet, and his extreme feelings for her have lead him to make rushed decisions in the past. For exmaple, he married her the day after he met her. This shows his passion for her and all along I knew he loved her too much to live without her. I don't agree with his decision however because he got over Rosaline so quickly so he probably could of gotten over Juliet too. The apothecary shop I go to is in a small, dark room on the outskirts of town. It is very beaten down and not a lot of people go in it. I've only bought medicine at it once.

  13. Vincent Uretta Period 7- From knowing Romeo, making the quick decision to kill himself was very much in character. Romeo always is the man who is dramatic about love and so into love that he's eyes are practically closed to anything but love. Romeo would mourn over his wife, if he did not kill himself on the spot like he did, and then most likely kill himself later because of his sadness. Romeo is a very sensitive boy and would overreact to the death of his two day wife and kill himself the way he did if he could do it over again. The apothecary that I sometimes go to when I'm feeling ill is a very sketchy shop. It isn't very big and doesn't come across to anyone as an actual shop that would sell drugs. The man who runs the shop is in penury because he doesn't make a lot of sales. Due to his penury he isn't very healthy and doesn't keep his shop in good condition there are remnants of vile's and other mysterious things laying around on the floor. Whenever I look at the shop it makes me think that it has been scourged by a witch or evil creature because it is in such bad condition. If I was just visiting Verona and did not live here, I would never buy anything from the apothecary.

From what I hear about Romeo, he is a hopeless romantic. so it really doesn't surprise me that he would want to go and kill himself. However, what confuses me is that when Rosaline rejected him, he didn't want to kill himself then. So why does it matter now? He finds out about Juliet's death and the first thing he decides to do is kill himself. It is something he would definently do, but what an idiot. I go to the same apothecary that Romeo went to all the time. It is not the best looking place however. It is a small house that really needs to be cleaned. I wouldn't really go there but his medicines really help when me or my family is sick. The man running the shop is a large old man who really needs to get some exercise. He does scare me a little bit, though.

Knowing Romeo very well, I can definitely say he is a very passionate and romantic guy. He is sweet, nice and loves Juliet very much. His quick decision to kill himself really shocked me. But, I guess I can understand why he did it because he is so in love with Juliet. He may have overreacted just a little bit because there were plenty of other options rather than to kill himself. I do think, though, that he was in character when he chose this decision. By doing this action, you can really tell how passionate and how much Romeo loves Juliet because when Rosaline didn't return his love, Romeo didn't even think about suicide, he was just depressed. Now that he has heard that Juliet is dead, he wants to join her and kill himself. His quickness to change who he loves also shows that his emotions change quick and this is something he would do.
There is an apothecary shop in Verona that my family, friends, and I go to. It is very small and a little creepy but it has everything I need. The apothecary is very poor and is in poverty. He is a very nice man though. I never really see a lot of people go to this shop. I go to this shop whenever one of my family member's is sick to buy drugs for them. I had no idea that the apothecary would sell poison because I know that is illegal. Romeo must have offered him a ton of money. I also go to the apothecary shop when Lord or Lady Capulet need something.

  16. Antonella Dalfonso Period 6- I think it is Romeo's character to kill himself because, he has no control over his emotions. for example; when he is in love, he is very obsessed, and is very joyful. When he is sad, or upset, he is mopey, and depressed;and practically says he wants to die. The apothecary shop is a very interesting place,. It is very dark and gloomy like there. I only go there once in awhile when i feel ill. I usually get medicine for pain reliever or, something to get my sickness out of my system. The apothecary himself, Is a very nice man, but can be unapproachable at times. It sis best to catch him in a good mood, because he is rather helpful, when he is.

Oh gosh, I know Romeo so well! I practically know everything about him…well I used to before he got banished. The poor guy…out there, all alone, with no one to love and spend his time with. It must be so difficult for him. But anyway back to the point, I don’t want to go off on a tangent. Being so quick to decide to kill himself is not out of the ordinary for Romeo. He is quite fickle and makes quick decisions without even thinking about how they will affect the rest of the population. Doesn’t he realize how much we would miss him? What is a world without Romeo? I’ll tell you. A world without Romeo is unexciting. Romeo’s actions are so quick and unpredictable; it’s just so exciting to see what he will do next. Most of his actions are out of love; there aren’t many guys out there that would die for their loves. I just really wish Romeo weren’t so thoughtless about his actions, perhaps then I would see him again. Now there is really no chance, once he has set his mind to something he follows through (unless of course something more interesting and exciting comes into his life.) I hope he changes his mind.

Hmm, the apothecary shop is just off of the town square and I don’t usually go there. I have to think way back to when I was living at home and my family members would get sick quite often. Being poor, we were always famished and caught disease quite quickly. In fact, I lost two siblings, a brother and a sister – both younger, to unknown diseases. Aye I do miss them so much. My mother and I would take them to see Friar Lawrence and he would give us little pity money and send us with a message to give to the apothecary. It was hard to pay for those things because we had low income and so many mouths to feed. The apothecary shop does not bring back good memories.

Well, I don't really know Romeo too well but I guess from the way he acts in public and how I've noticed that he's always jumpy and saying things way too fast, it doesn't really shock me that he killed himself right after he knew Juliet was dead. He's a fast talker and he acts fast without thinking. Most of what he says doesn't really make sense to me but that's just his personality. I mean come on, he fell in love with Rosaline and fell out of love with her all too quickly. That shows that he doesn't really think things through and he likes to rush things. He killed poor Tybalt and I know he didn't mean it but it was out of anger. I guess he didn't think that one through either. He was such a sweet guy from what I have heard about him and it's terrible to know that he too died a horrible death. I never heard of anyone killing themselves because their lover had died before. It's pretty weird if you ask me. Even though I didn't know him all too well, I should've predicted that he would've killed himself right when he found out Juliet was dead. Poor Romeo.

I don't go to the apothecary shop too often but when I go, it's mainly if I get sick. I buy all of my medicine there because that's the only place around here that sells medicine that actually works and does something for you. The shop is very little and it kind of creeps me out because the man who works in it is old and scary looking. He always tries to sell me different kinds of drugs and medicine. Whenever one of the Capulets get sick, I volunteer to stop my sewing and get the medicine for them even though the old man scares me.

  20. Marcello Lometti period 3- I think it was in his character because by nature romeo is quick to act and impulsive. For example he was crying about rosaline a few days ago, then at a party later that evening I see him making out with Juliet. This shows how quickly Romeo went from loving Rosaline so much then just loving Juliet like that. I have never been in the apothocary shop because when I need potions of any kind I just go to Friar Lawrence because I have more trust in him and we are better friends. The owner of the store is very poor most likely due to the fact that no one wants to go into his poor excuse of a store

I have known Romeo and been friends with him for a long time. I would say I know they type of person he is, so hearing the news that he killed himself did not surprise me. Romeo is the type of guy who doesn’t think much before he makes decisions. I would probably say that once he saw Juliet “dead” he didn’t even think about the possibility of her being alive. He didn’t think about any other way to deal with her “death” other than to kill himself. This whole thing is quite upsetting because Juliet was supposed to run off with Romeo but because he doesn’t think before acting this plan will not be a success. I feel horrible for my dear friend Juliet because all she wanted was to be happy with Romeo.

The apothecary in Verona isn’t in the best location. From what I have heard it’s a small shop, it’s very dark and gloomy looking. The guy that works there is very poor and desperate to get money from anyone. I haven’t personally bought anything in that shop but I do know they sell poison and other drugs like that.

Romeo killing himself was a very sad happening. It was in his character to do so. After watching Romeo depressed a few days ago, he quickly became extremely happy, before becoming depressed again. Romeo is very quick to act on situations and does not like to think things through unfortunately. That is why he raged and killed Tyblat after Tyblat slain Mercutio. This caused Romeo to be banished, which I guess caused his life to spiral downward. I am going to miss Romeo and hope that he is in a better place.
I have been to the apothecary many times. It is not the nicest of place but it supplies the things I need. Since I was in war the apothecary gives me medicine and pills that are very important to me. I have never gone to the apothecary to get anything illegal and dont plan on it.

When I heard about Romeos death, I reflected about his decision and realized many of his quick reactions are common among what I have heard of. The Nurse has told me that he only married Juliet ONE day after meeting her at the Capulet ball, which was another idiotic decision! I do have to give sympathy towards him, falling in love with his mortal enemy. Even though my opinion may be biased since I work at the Capulet, I do have to agree that Romeos quick decision to commit suicide is something that I would expect of him to do. Also, even though I give sympathy towards the Capulet family I cant help but to wonder how they raised Romeo if he makes haste decisions frequently. It was a shock to the whole city of Verona that Romeo had come back and committed suicide, and all because he was in love with Juliet! It was even crazier that Juliet was never even dead in the first place, as I learned from the Capulets when they told the workers about Friars plan. Given those decisions, it seems like Romeo made a reasonable decision, I would not have been able to keep my sanity either if fate was toying with my emotions constantly. I believe the last straw for Romeo was when he bribed the apothecary to give him poison just so he could be in eternal peace with Juliet. I had just visited my apothecary shop around the corner from my house in Verona and I could never imagine the apothecary selling me poison, even if I begged for it. My brother is very ill, so I had to purchase medicine to try and make his fever come down ever since the plague hit him. I know that there is no cure, hence why I have tried to stay out of the house as much as possible to refrain from losing my job and dying a painful death. I have to pretend that my brother is perfectly healthy or else I will be quarantined with him and the rest of my family, and I would hate to have to watch everyone die one by one! The apothecary said he would try to make a stronger medicine but I saw the doubt behind his eyes, which confirmed my brothers death right before my eyes. The apothecary never means good news for my family, and I hate when I am sent to see him to bring back expensive medicines.

From what I have learned about Romeo from both his actions and from the word on the street I am not surpised by the actions of Romeo. He did kill himself yet he is the kind of person who falls in love and will do anything to be with and please who ever he happens to fall in love with. He also has not thought many times before acting like when he killed Paris without even knowing who he was and regreting it as soon as he saw his face, he also regred killing Tybalt the next day.
The apothecary shop is a small run down shop that is clearly ran by a Describe the apothecary shop you go to in Verona. The man who works there is old skinny and how he dresses is no suprise because he is poor. I only go to him when I am very sick and need medecine. Roumor has it he is very good at his job and is working on medicine to cure people from the plague.

Though I do not know Romeo on a personal level, I think that his decision to kill himself on impulse is a crazy act that can only be done from love. I do think that is was someone he would do, and in character because I have heard him to be a passionate person. If he knew he had to live without Juliet, his other half, then he would not want to live at all. He is so romantic and I couldn’t have expected any less of him, knowing Juliet was dead, even though I’m sad to see him gone. The apothecary shop in Verona is on the corner of an end street. When you walk in, the shop is a small, dimly lit room with tables filled with containers of medicines and mixtures. It looks dark, and not very welcoming. I have to go there to buy medicine when my family or I is not well, and need to get better.

Romeo and I have been friends for years, and if one thing about him is sure, it's that he has a tendency to think irrationally, especially during crucial moments. Therefore him killing himself doesn't surprise me, in fact I had a feeling that would happen sooner or later. I run down to the apothercary's shop daily. He has a small tavern, it smells bad, he smells bad and the tavern in general isn't the ideal place someone would want to work. I visit him twice a week in search of medicinal herbs, minerals ,etc. Now that I have become a knight, I'm always getting bruised and scratched up from my intense training. The apothecary's stuff always seems to do the job. I have never gone there to purchase illegal substances.

  28. Romeos character is quite different from others. He makes and forgets about decisions and then will regret them in the future. I would say by Romeo killing himself in that quick in a matter of time is just like his character because he made a decision very quickly and one that he probably would regret in heaven.
I go to an apothacary shop in Verona to pick up medication for myself. The shop is quite a dump and needs to be fixed up a bit, But as soon as you walk in you wouldnt even think it is an apothacary shop because you dont see any drugs/medications. It looks like an average home and the medications are hidden.

Knowing Romeo, I would say his decision to kill himself does not shock me. He is very quick to make decisions that may harm him. He doesn't stop to think rationally or what will happen in the future. He just goes with whatever pops into his head first, which is probably an extreme decision considering how he is as a person. All Romeo thinks about is his love life. He thinks if one bad thing happens, there is no way to get out of it besides killing himself. This is one of the reasons I don't think particularly high of Romeo. I go to an apothecary shop on the outskirts of Verona. Its a small, dark room that is in a secluded part of town. I buy medicine for myself there and not much else. It is kind of a place for drug addicts, but I find that his medicine works and that is why I go there.

being the fact that ive known romeo for a really long time, the fact that he decided to kill himself so quickley is i would say vintage romeo. this being the fact because romeo is the type of guy that once hes in live with someone and he finds out that his love is dead or that he will never be able to see his love again he will over-react an go do something that a normal person wouldnt do and because of this once he found out juliet was dead, it doesnt suprise me that he quickly decided to kill himself so i would say this is romeo in his character.

As you should all know, i am a huge alcaholic and drug addict and suprisingly still alive so i spend 40% of my time at the apothocary shop. when i go there i buy many types of drugs that make me feel so great and i also finagle with the guy to hook me up with some alcahol too. but the shop is really scary and i just wih it would be more of a bright and attractive store, not a creepy store that little kids are scared of on holloween.

  31. The fact that Romeo killed himself is exactly like his character. Romeos character is someone who makes quick decisions and regrets them in the future. In this case, by Romeo killing himself before Friar Lawrence could tell him the news, Romeo made a quick decision and will regret it in heaven.
The apothacaryshop that i go to is an old dump. you would think it is an average old house when you walk into it because it looks just like one. When you go inside you dont see any medication it is all hidden.

I have known Romeo most of my life, since he always played in the kitchen and bothered the servants as a child. We are nearly the same age, though he is a bit older. Knowing him, his hasty decision to kill himself was just revealing more of his impulsive personality, which ultimately led to his untimely demise. It's unfortunate, really. If only he'd stop and think he'd still be with us.

I go to the apothecary to run errands for Lord Montague and Lady Montague. Due to their age, their bones have started to ache and I'm sent to retrieve poultices to soothe their ailments. The apothecary is a small stone cottage which is an hour's walk from The Montague house, near the church. The roof is covered in a layer of dried hay and grasses and the thick wooden door is always left slightly ajar. The apothecary himself is a wise man, but impressively aged. I feel as if I should congratulate him for living long enough to sprout grey hair and wrinkles. His voice is gravelly and coarse, but his words are kind. He blesses every soul that goes in and out of his cottage, regardless of their intentions which are unbeknownst to him.

I can not believe that Romeo went to the apothecary to get potion to kill himself! I didn't know that he loved Juliet that much that he would take his own life over it. I knew he would be very upset but I didn't think he would take it this far. Usually people go to the apothecary to get drugs and poisons. It's really crazy that Romeo would do such a thing. It's very depressing since Romeo was like a son to me. Romeo is quick to make decisions and most of the time they are very dumb decisions, but this was by far the dumbest.

I do think Romeo’s quick decision to kill himself was in character. I believe this because in the beginning when Romeo was crying over Rosaline, he thought that he would never be able to love another girl again. He always thinks the worst. When Rosaline told Romeo that she did not want to be with him, he took it as she will never love and marry a man. He was so upset over that little thing, his emotions are very strong.

The apothecary shop of Verona is very convenient for me. It’s right in town so when my kids or I get sick I can just walk there and get what I need. The Apothecary is poor; he even has less money than me. But he is a kind person, he has a great heart. He can be stubborn at times, when he would sell something because of its danger. I once send my 19 years old sister to get poison to kill the rats, however he would not send it to her because he thought she wanted to kill herself, what a crazy idea!

From what I have heard about Romeo, I was not surprised by his quick reaction to kill himself. I wasn't surprised because Romeo loved Juliet so much and all he wanted to do was be with Juliet. Romeo's feelings were only about Juliet and if he couldn't be with her, he wouldn't move on, he would find a way to make things work. Since this was a very hard situation and he didn't receive a letter from the Friar, I could see him taking his own life for Juliet.

I have been in the apothecary shop once to look around, and from my one and only experience, I will not buy anything from that disgusting shop. The shop is very dark, it smells, and the owner is a strange man. I don't know why Romeo payed for a potion from the dirty shop, but I cn understand why he took his own life.

  36. Fiorella Scarano (pd.4)…. Romeo’s apprehensive decision to kill himself was defiantly in spite of his character. As a make the bed in Juliet’s bed chamber, I would hear of Romeo as she spoke with the Nurse. Juliet talked about him sneaking up to her balcony as well as the risks and consequences he has taken in order for them to spend the rest of eternity together. Romeo seems to have the personality of a hopeless romantic and overly sensitive. Not an attribute you would usually see in a man living in Verona! Knowing this about him, hearing that Romeo would kill himself if that was only way to be with Juliet is not surprising. I don’t think it’s the healthiest and or sanest way to achieve love. Some things are just better to be forgotten and leaven alone, right?
I would never step into such a place with people bustling through the Verona’s main square! The other Capulet servants however think differently. George, another head servant, told me about the apothecary shop. He described it as a dark and musty; a very uncomfortable feeling. He said the walls were filled with medications, potions, and things unknown to his eyes. The pharmacist was dreary, dirty, and extremely poor. Where the pharmacist sat was a box with a huge lock. It read, “POISENS. DO NOT OPEN.” It was against the law to buy such items because they were so deadly. I swore on my grave that I would never go in there unless there was a dire need to!

I think this was truly Romeo's personality to kill himself because since he has been madly in love with Juliet and couldn't live without her and because he is such a romantic person he was going to kill himself because he couldn't think of anything better because the one thing he cared about was dead. I think this was definetly one of Romeo's character traits and that's why he killed himself. The apothecary's shop is gloomy and dark and very suspicious people don't always know what is actually going on in there. It's not a typical house and it is definetly not bright and cheerful an the apothecary is also kind of creepy. I've only been to the apothecary once and that was for my medicine for my back because I had back problems.

I think this was romeos personality bcause he is a very emotional and passionate guy. When he finds a girl he likes, he becomes obsessed and he HAS to be with her. thats why he killed himself. so it was most definatly his personatly on why he killed himself. the apothecary shop is in the outsskirts of the town. It is very small and dirty. I hate going in there it makes me feel dirty. I only go in there if i absolutley have to, and thats when me or part of my family is very sick.

  39. Michelle Aguirre (per.3)-I heard of Romeo’s death, so devastating! It was definitely in character of him. He loved Juliet and finding out she dies, his loyalty drove him to making the decision he made. He took his life because he tends to just take action, without considering his other options. Like when he kills Tybalt as revenge for Mercutio’s death. He doesn’t think about the long term effects, he just does what he feels is right at the moment. He loved Juliet and he wanted to spend his life with her, so if she is no longer living, he believed he should be with her still dead as well.
That apothecary shop in Verona is a place I do not go to very often. I do go there once in a while when we need medecine for the family, but since our money is limited and the place is sketchy, it's not worth going to very much.

I heard of Romeo's death. This is similar to Romeo's actions and descisions in the past. He made a quick decision in the past about loving Juliet at first sight and then marrying her one day later. His quick descion of killing himself was stupid but thats his personality. The Apothocary's shop is ugly and dirty. I never went to his shop in fear of disease.

I do believe that Romeo would do anything for love even before all of this stared 3 days ago I’m not say he was suicidal but if it was for his love one he do anything to be with her even join her in the afterlife.
I get all my potions from the apothecary in the town square of Verona. Its where I get some medicine for when I’m feeling a little under the weather blacksmith don’t take sick days.

I think it was in his character because by nature romeo is quick to act. In the beggining he was crying about rosaline a few days ago, then at a party he was quick to fall in love with Juliet. This shows how eager Romeo went from loving Rosaline so much then just loving Juliet like that. I never been to anpothcary because when I need a potion for my mule when he gets sick I go to friar lawrence.

Knowing Romeo very well I was not suprrised that he decided very quick lyto kill himself once he found Juilet dead. He only wanted to be with her but since she was not alive anymore he thought that he should die as well. Romeo thought that once they were married everthing would be different but nothing change the families stayed the same.

I heard about Romeos death. but im am not very surprised that he killed himself becuase thats the kind of character Romeo was he would risk his own life and die to be with the woman he loves. Romeo is also that guy that loves his finace alot and if she "died" he would want to die with her. He is like this because he was banished and he risked his life coming back just to end his life with juliet with shows his character. I do not really go to the apothecary because i dont really use alot of medicine also it is pretty far away from my house so i would not want to travel a far distance for something i dont need. People usally just buy medicine from the apothecary but some people buy posion to put down animals that are sick.

Knowing Romeo as well as I do, i am not surprised in his quick decision to kill himself. He was always one that never thought before he did something. He always went along with his first decision and never stopped to think about any alternatives. I have never been inside the apothocary's shop but i have heard some very negative comments about it. I have heard that it is filthy and disgusting. I believe that the potions there do more harm then good.

knowing romeo I was surprised to see his quick and thoughtful reaction when he found out that Juliet was dead. He had achieved many things but some of them didnt work due to the family feud between the Montegue and the Capulets that had evantually led to deaths. He was not notified that Juliet had a plan to fake her death but he took his life and without knowing she was alive, i htought this was a quick reaction. The apthecary is a small shop where they sell merchandice and the medicine that people would take but it is a place where they sell poisoin this is where Romeo had taken the poisin that had lead him to his death.

In my opinion this was not uncharacteristic of Romo at all, he has made many irrational decisions in short amount of time before. Such as the one where he decided to marry Juliet after one day. He has a mentality whererif something is bad at one moment it automatically turns to the worst thing that has ever happened in his life. Because of this he makes the decision that may seem okay in the moment but which eventually ends up to be the worst decision he could make. One day I went in to the apothicary shop as directed by Friar Lawrence for some problems I was having with my vision. I went in and bought some medicine that was susposed to clear up my vision. The shop was creepy to say the least. I felt as nobility that I should have sent one of my workers. Although the man who makes the medicine made something that works.

Hearing Romeo throughout the book I was shocked to his rapid decision when he found out Juliet was "dead". Romeo has achieved many accomplishments but most were ruined when he killed Tybalt. He did not recieve a letter from Friar Lawrence about the plan of Juliet's "death". I thought his reaction was a little fast but if he was in love with her and did not know she was gonna pretend to die he did what he thought was right for the pain he was going through. The Apthecary is a tiny shop where they sell mechandise and the medicine where Romeo had got the poison from for when he killed himself.

Romeo's decision to kill himself was in character because he makes decisions too quickly. He made the decision to love Juliet way too quickly after he was heart broken over Rosaline. He met Juliet and married her within two days whcih is way too fast to decide to marry someone. he made another very quick decision to kill himself because he could have waited a little bit or talked with the friar before just deciding to drink the poison. The Apothocary shop i go to in Verona is owned by Francis DaVinci. He is a nice old man who is very knowledgeable when it comes to drugs and medecine of all kinds. I shop there because I like Francis and think he knows what he is talking about.

From what I know about Romeo I do think that it was something he would do. After Romeo saw that Juliet was "dead" he got really depressed. That made him not care about anything else because he gets very taken away with love. Although this is something Romeo would do he shouldn't of done it. Killing yourself is not the way to settle things. Romeo did not think before his actions and that was bad especially at that time because Juliet was not really dead, she only drank a poison that would make her seem dead for a short while. The apothecary shop is a place you go to when you need medicine or something of that sort. It is like a pharmacy that we have in modern time.

I think that Romeo killing himself on such a quick decision would be something he would do. He was obsessed with Juliet, obsessed to a point that he literatly couldnt spend a minute without her. What Romeo did wasn't the smart thing to do because he didn' think for a second, he acted on impulse and went for it, however, I am not suprised because most of Romeo's actions are not thought through. The Apothocary shop in Verona is not a place that I enjoy spending time at. I have gone there a few times when remidies where needed when members of my family have been sick. Although the potions that the man that works there work, I still do not trust him because he quite poor, so who knows where he gets his ingredients from. Since Romeo was able to kill himself with a potion from there, I doubt i will be going there again.

From what I know about Romeo, I do think he would decide to kill himself so quickly. In the Past Romeo has never really thought about what his long term result from his choices would be and he takes everything to heart way too quick. For example a couple of days ago, Romeo was madly “in love” with Rosaline, but as soon as he saw Juliet he loved her. I really doubt someone can fall out of love with someone they barely know and fall in love with another person he never even talked to before. As soon as Tybalt killed Mercutio, Romeo struck at Tybalt and killed him, not thinking what his death would bring him and that Tybalt was Juliets cousin. If he took a moment too think what Tybalt’s death would bring him he would have never be exiled, and Juliet would have never pretended to be dead and have not died, as well as himself.

From working in the Montague household I've always known Romeo to be a very impulsive man and he is one not to think but just to 'do' and react in a very dramatic way and then thinks about what he has done. I heard a rumor that he got a potion from an apothecary in Mantua during the time when he was banished. I'm not really the one to buy deadly potions at my local apothecary located in a small ally way across the street from a thrift shop. I don't often buy things there because I really do not know or trust many of the things I'm buying from there so whenever I need a remedy or something to heal or cure me I often go to Friar Lawrence and he gives some of his herbs and that often does the trick.

  54. Isabella Stevens. Period 4-Not knowing Romeo as much, i would never imagine him as the type of guy to rush into killing himself. His sweet, charming, and sensitive personality gives him an innocent look. Not knowing his character to the best of my ability and both of his sides, i would not expect this. The love of Romeo and Juliet was a strong bond in which they shared for each other, which is clearly so intense that they both killed themselves to be with one another.
The apothocary shop in Verona is very sketchy, creepy and small. A big man owns the shop who obtains an aggressive personality, which intimidates most people who come.
