I admire Benvolio the most because of his ability to maintain the strength to be a "peace maker". Even though he is on the Montague side, he still disencourages fightning between the two sides. He tries to get his friends to be better than Tybalt, and to not fight them. He knows nothing good will come about the fighting so he tries to look out for the best intrest of others. Thus, I admire him because it takes courage to speak out against your friends to do what is right. When I witnessed the fighting, I was suprised that it escalated to lethal proportions. My first emotion was saddness because Tybalt is my cousin too, but I understand how a Montague could think that he deserved it because he intigated the fight and killed Mercutio. I don't think it was right for Tybalt to get so worked up about the fact that the Montague's came to the party. I also was glad that Romeo did not get hurt becasue that would devistate my favorite cousin, Juliet. Emotionally, I am still depressed at the death of Tybalt as well as my whole family is. Socially, it makes me suppiorting Juliet's decision to be which Romeo that much harder because he is the one that killed cousin Tybalt. If my parents found out I was supporting Juliet they would be extremely upset with me. I am not physically or fincially affected because the Capulet's are still rich. From my point of view I don't think the Prince's verdict was fair. I don't think that Romeo should be excommunicated from the city of Verona just because he killed Tybalt. Tybalt first killed Mercutio so Romeo was just trying to defend his friend. If Tybalt hadn't acted to violently then Romeo would of never had to fight him. Also the Prince made his decision soley based on his own opionion and didn't take any of the facts Benvolio was providing into account.

I admire Benvolio most because of his will to not fight. I believe that Benvolio is the strongest of the men because he is the peacemaker and knows that by fighting, it will not solve for any conflicts, it will only increase the harm. When I saw Mercutio and Tybalt die, I felt simpathetic because it triggered the same emotion in me that I had when Robert died. When I saw Romeo's face as Mercutio's life was taken, I knew exactly how he felt and felt extremely simpathetic and angered. I know how it feels to lose someone close to you, that's why I know why Romeo fought Tybalt and how it lead to his death. I feel sympathetic towards Tybalt because I believe that no one should lose their life, but through what Tybalt has done, I believe that Tybalt's death was justified. I believe that by Tybalt picking a fight with the Montague's was unecessary and taking the fued between the Montague's and the Capulet's too far. I do not beileve that Romeo should be punished for giving Tybalt his due. Mercutio and Tybalt's death both affect me emotionally, physically, financially, and socially. Both Tybalt and Mercutio's death triggered the death of Robert and all of my emotions that I felt when Robert died resurfaced. I felt weak when I saw two lives being lost over a fued when the two men held nothing personal towards eachother. Tybalt's death affects me financially due to the loss of protection on the Capulet side, where I work. Mercutio's death does not affect my financially. From my point of view, I believe that Prince's verdict was not fair because Romeo was acting out of rage towards Tybalt who should have recieved a punishment if Romeo had not have killed him. I believe that when someone takes another's life away, their rights are no longer to be respected, therefore Romeo is not to blame for this situation getting to the extremity that it did, Tybalt was.

Being a Capulet supporter, and hating the three Montague boys, I truly admire the young Tybalt He is so corageous and is always willing to fight to save and support his family name. Unfortunately, Tybalt's anger and bravery killed him not to long ago. I was walking down the street in town when a comotion errupted. Tybalt was arguing with young Romeo Montague on a subject I did not catch, but Romeo wimped out and would not enter deul with Tybalt. His friend Mercutio, however, did fight Tybalt and was stabbed to death when Romeo tried to stop the battle. Mercutio obviously underestimated Tybalt, trying to take him on like that. How foolish. Although Romeo had stepped up and began to tussle with Tybalt. I had never seen Romeo fight before and he was fabulous, much to my surprise. I wanted to do something but I could not put myself at risk when I have a family to protect. But Tybalt's life came to an end when he was brutally stabbed by Romeo's rapier. I was completely dumb founded and shocked as Tybalt fell to the ground bleeding. I could only imagine how terrible his family must feel. I was truly devastated by this occurence that I almost cried. Personally I could care less about that Mercutio kid, but I can't help but feel a little sorry for the young lad. Tybalt on the other hand, could probably start a riot within the Capulet house. For all I know, my job could even be at stake right now. I know for sure his death will be center of attention in my barber shop, which could provide more money for my family. Juliet may also be devastated by this event as well, for both sides of the family. Considering how much I know about the Romeo and Juliet love affair, I can only say this banishment may not be the best thing for her. Also, I hear that Tybalt started this fight, but since the Capulet's are far more superior, the Prince did have the right to banish Romeo.

Although I am neutral and take no part in the power war between the Capulet and Montegue because I find it a pointless fight that no one could ever win I admire Benvolio the most out of Tybalt, Mercutio, Benvolio, and Romeo. I admire him the most because he refuses to not fight and always looks for the peaceful solution. He is living proof that in fact the pan is mightyer then the swoard. He also will not fight even when people insult him because he refuses to fight. I believe that he would agree with me that fighting between the Montagues and Capulets is not only pointless but also the fighting benefits no one, it just puts the people of Verona in harms way. I witnesed the death of both Mercutio and Tybalt and find it absolutely rediculous that one man would kill another simply because of the last name that one of them was given at birth. I do adknowledge that the problems did escalate yet it is simply to much. Although I find this rediculous I was not suprised that Tybalt picked a fight, he is known as the prince of cats for a reason and that reason is because he is quick to fight. There deaths do not impact me that greatly because I chose not to pick sides in the war for the power hungry. The only way that this could really impact me is if there was even more violence in the streets as a result of the two deaths. I do think the verdict is more than fair because Romeo did kill a human bieng and although he did it as a reaction from someone murdering his best friend he should be put to death because he did not kill Tybalt out of self defence.

When I saw the dispute between the Capuelts and Montagues the other day in the square, I was appalled at some of the crimes committed while I admired some others. Being of the Capulet house I may have some biased opinions about the Montagues, but I do admire Benvolio the most simply because he at least tried to maintain the peace between houses. Benvolios past actions had led me to believe he did not have a care in the world when it comes to starting trouble because I have heard that he has a quick temper to fight. In this of how the Montagues raise young adults in their house. However, Romeos actions did reinforce my previous opinions of the Montague house. I do admit Tybalts actions were wrong for killing Mercutio but it was an immature choice for Romeo to retaliate and strike Tybalt dead if he is going to be the heir to the Montague fortune. He did not think of the consequences of his actions, which I am very ashamed of since I had recently started to believe he was different from the rest of his boyish friends. I admit that I did shed a tear when Tybalt was sprawled on the ground because he always was kind to me in the Capulet house and never treated me like I was some type of servant to his family. Even when Mercutio died I was shocked, as was the rest of the town, since the Prince had recently banned fighting between the Capulets and Montagues only a few days ago. I was dumbfounded for the whole fight, especially when the Capulets arrived because I saw the grievance upon their faces and I could not help but sympathize for them. I could not help but to wonder how my job is going to be affected by these deaths because the Capulets might not pay attention to their staff around the house, but focus on revenge on the Montagues. My family does not have any relations to the Capulets or Montagues so my families economic prosperity will not be affected at all from these two deaths. I may feel some grievance for the Capulets but since there are always new deaths in Verona I have learned to deal with the news. I will also not starve myself over these deaths and let my appearance change because I simply do not care about the strife between houses. This does not mean that I am not curious to see what the outcome of these events are and how the Princes verdict of banishment will affect Romeo. I see both sides of the argument but I do not find it justified because Tybalt did kill Mercutio first and started the quarrel. Also, I have heard whispers from the Nurse about an unknown romance between Juliet and Romeo, so I would be heartbroken to hear that this misfortune affected them and their love for each other. Hopefully, the Prince can reconsider his verdict if they are together and give him a less severe punishment.

  6. Vincent Uretta Period 7- Out of Tybalt, Mercutio, Benvolio and Romeo, I admire Mercutio the most. One reason that I admire Mercutio is he is a very loyal man. Mercutio is very loyal to the side of the Montague’s and it is proven in the scene that himself and Tybalt die in. Romeo would not fight Tybalt, even though Tybalt challenged him, because since he married Juliet, he became Tybalt’s cousin. Romeo didn’t want to fight his cousin and Mercutio did not know that, he just thought Romeo was afraid to fight him. Mercutio seeing Romeo refuse to fight a Capulet embarrassed not only himself but the rest of the Montague’s. Mercutio battled Tybalt and was killed by him. For Mercutio to walk into a fight that he knows he has a high chance of dying in, because he knows Tybalt is a very skilled fighter, shows that he is very loyal to the side of the Montague’s and I respect that quality in a person very much so that it why I admire Mercutio. While I was watching this all happen I was absolutely terrified. I did not want to get hurt because when two crazy men are fighting you never know what will happen. Also, even though I was scared, I was secretly cheering for Mercutio because I favor the Montague’s. Lastly, I was very sad when I saw Mecutio die because he was a very kind and friendly man, he was always generous to me when we passed by in the streets and to see him die I was devastated. So the death of Mercutio affected me in the way that I lost a close friend. I’ve been upset ever since I saw him die and it’s been affecting my work. No matter if you are close to a person or not, seeing a nice man go is always upsetting. After Mercutio was killed, Romeo went on a rampage and killed Tybalt, since he killed Tybalt, he was banished by the Prince. I don’t agree with this decision because in a way it was self defense. After Tybalt killed Mercurtio he was probably going to go after Romeo since that is who he wanted to fight in the first place. So I believe that the Princes decision was wrong.

Out of the four men, I admire Benvolio the most because Tybalt is always a trouble maker and causes a lot of fights. Mercutio is also a trouble maker because he fights a lot to and he always jokes around. Romeo sometimes just irritates me because he is always either depressed about a girl or can’t stop talking about one. That leaves Benvolio, I don’t admire him just because he’s the last choice, but because he is a peace maker and I always take after him. Especially when I’m cooking fir people and serving them I always think in my head to be kind like Benvolio so I don’t be rude. I also admire Benvolio the most because Benvolio is the type of person that doesn’t get involved in a situation that he knows will turn out to be very bad and regretful. My first reaction when I witnessed the fatal battle involving Romeo, Tybalt, and Mercutio was shocked at first because it happened so quickly, but after a few minutes I was very sad and upset because it is always sad to witness death, but I was especially sad for Romeo because I know how much he loves Juliet and he killed her cousin Tybalt so I feel really bad for Romeo and Juliet. These deaths don’t really affect me physically but emotionally I will have to deal with the sight of Tybalt and Mercutio dying, Socially I will still have to listen to Romeo, but I was really hurt financially because Tybalt and the Capulet’s were my biggest customers. I cooked for them the most and they know I’m really good friends with Romeo so now they don’t want me cooking for them anymore so I am killed financially. From my point of view I strongly un fair because Romeo was just defending himself and his friends because Tybalt killed Mercutio so I feel that banishing Romeo is way to strict, it would be a lot more reasonable to either fine him or send him to a jail type place where he can just be treated terribly and learn from his actions, but banishing him is way to unfair.

I admire Mercutio the most. Mercutio is a very light hearted man that loves to joke around and I find him hilarious. Mercutio always has something to say and most of the time he is joking around. As being a part of the Montague family I know he is loyal and even though he meesses with Romeo we know that he will have his back in an instant. After witnessing what Mercutio did today most people would agree on that. Today in the town square Tybalt was looking to fight with romeo, but after Romeo denied for some reason Mrcutio jumped in. Unfortunately for the Mongtague family Mercutio was killed by Tyblat, only to have is death avenged seconds later. I was so surpirsed to see Romeo jump in and strike Tyblat killing him. If Romeo had'nt have done it I was about to jump in to defend and protect the Montague name. Im glad that Tybalt has been killed, he can now rot in hell. Mercutio's death has affected me emotionally because he was a close friend of mine, we met a while back. Its been tough not having his loud mouth around. Another unfortunate occurences took place for Romeo, he was banished by the Prince. I find this verdict unfair because Benvolio clearly told the Prince of the story that took place. Even with the truth being told romeo still did the wrong thing by lowering himself to Tybalt's level, even though I would have done the same. I hope the best for Romeo, but he is going to have a tough tim without his Montague family.

Between Tybalt, Mercutio, Benvolio, and Romeo, I admire Benvolio the most. Benvolio likes to keep the peace among everyone and that is what I admire most about him. He doesn't start fights like Tybalt all the time. Benvolio is intelligent for knowing that nothing good ever comes from fighting; it just causes more conflict. Witnessing the deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt was a terrible thing to see. I didn't think that their fight would lead to something so serious like this. Tybalt and Mercutio were both stabbed with rapiers. It was almost traumatizing. These deaths really affected the Montague household as well as myself. I have been watching Lord and Lady Montague walking around the house depressed and saddened by the death of Mercutio. Romeo as well has been terrified. He was one of Romeo's best friends. Neither of their deaths affected me physically or financially. I still have my job and am not hurt. This situation did affect me emotionally because I am now sad and trying to be as helpful as I can for the Montagues. Socially, I will never be able to speak to Mercutio again and in the Montague house, there is tension and sadness. The death of Tybalt did not affect me as much because he is a Capulet. I am very grateful that Romeo did not get hurt. From my point of view, I do not think that the Prince's verdict was fair. It was unfair simply because Tybalt was not the only one who died, Mercutio is dead as well. No one was punished for the death of Mercutio. Also, Romeo was not the one who started the fight, and he also was just defending himself.

Out of Tybalt, Mercutio, Benvolio, and Romeo, I admire Benvolio the most because hes a kind person who doesn't initiate fights. hes not passive but he doesn't feel the need to fight to gain masculinity. i saw the fight that occurred and i think while Benvolio was not initiating anything, both deaths were unnecessary. i believe if romeo had tamed his temper Tybalt would have come to justice but i can also see where his anger came from. it disgusts me to see how society has come to such unneeded death and really makes me wonder where our youth is headed! i don't think the princes verdict was fair because romeo acted out of anger, but well understandable anger. i think the dead should just bury the dead and that everyone should take this as an example of why this feud is unnecessary.

I admire Benvolio the most because of his ability to maintain the strength to cause peace between a srtuggle.Even though he is on the Montague side, he is not interested in fightning between the two sides, Montague and Capulet. He tries to get his friends happy and encorages them to be more like him. He knows nothing good will come about the fighting so he tries to look out for the postive thing in life. I admire him because it takes a lot of guts speaking out against your peers to do what is right and not choas like Tybalt is encoraging in the play. When I witnessed the fighting, I was suprised that it rised upon deathly consquences. My first emotion was saddness because Tybalt is a family friend of mine , but I understand how a Montague could think that he did this on himself because he brought the fight and killed Mercutio. I don't think it was right for Tybalt to get so crazy that the Montague's came to the party. I also was glad that Romeo did not get hurt becasue that would hurt Juliet. Emotionally, I am still angry for the death of Tybalt Socially, it makes me supporting Juliet's decision to be much diffucult because Romeio is the one that killed Tybalt. From my point of view I don't think the Prince's annocement was justicable. I don't think that Romeo should be banished from Verona just because he killed Tybalt. Tybalt first killed Mercutio. If Tybalt hadn't acted to crazy then Romeo would have never tried to kill him. Also the Prince made his decision based on his own point of view and didn't take any of the evidence that Benvolio was providing to the Prince.

  12. Jake Trotta- I admire Tybalt the most because he is a man that isnt afraid of anyone and wont back down from a fight. He was a feared man and was proud of what he did and would do anything to protect Juliet. That is why i admire Tybalt. One day i was walking down town and saw Tybal, Mercutio and Romeo in a little scrum. I thought it would of been just a little argument, but when i heard Romeo scream to tell both of them stop, i stopped walking and started to pay attention to what was going on. Then the next thing that i saw was Tybalt stabb Mercutio. This never would of happened if the little baby Romeo didnt get in the middle of them too. Mercutio fell to the ground and Romeo was angry and didnt know what to do. All of a sudden Romeo got up and started to wonder off in the look of Tybalt. Once he found him, he killed him. I couldnt believe any of this could happen. why would this happen, i know they both hate eachother, but i didnt know that they would kill eachother. i was confused and scared. i think that the princes verdict wasnt fair because ir Romeo didnt kill Tybalt, i dont think that he would of banished Tybalt, so why should he have the right to banish Romeo in this matter. these two deaths effect me emotionally because i didnt know what to feel. When i saw this happen, i was scared, sad, and confused all at the same time.

  13. Marcello Lometti period 3- I like Benvolio because he is peaceful. Unlike Mercutio and Tybalt he seeks a better solution to a problem then fighting it and using violence to solve the problem. Whenever there is a fight Benvollio tries to break it up even though he might get teased by his friends, he still stands up for what is right. Being some what neutral between the capulets and the Montagues my bussiness is still doing well. Even though young Juliet doesn't come into the store as often as she used to, most likely due to her sadness from the banishment of Romeo. I still have business from the Montagues as well Romeo doesn't come into the store because he has been banished. Although me and Romeo are buds I think the Prince's verdict was fair because I think Romeo did cause the death.

  14. Leonardo Jimbo Lometti period 7- I personally admire Romeo Montague very much. He is admirable because he will not be stopped just by the family's bad history to marry Juliet. I admire him also because he has the same belief as me, that everyone should be able to marry who they want to marry and i respect him for going to such limits to show that they can't beat his love for Juliet. The deaths of the men affect me in some way but not in others. I liked Mercutio because he was standing up for his good friend Romeo and i despise Tybalt because he is just always about fighting and killing people. I wish that Tybalt had been stabbed by someone else than Romeo because now Romeo will be banished from our town. I think that the Prince's punishment was a bit too harsh because Tybalt was the one who had started the conflict and then stabbed someone. Just because Romeo had reacted and stabbed Tybalt after he killed his good friend right next to him, I do not think he should have been banished.

  15. Stefano Krgin Period 6

I admire Romeo the most because he can be funny when talking to Juliet. After the day of the party, Romeo went to Juliet's house and started listening to what she was saying to herself. He also starts saying a lot of crazy things to himself about Juliet that I thought were funny things to be saying about a girl you really like. The two deaths put me into shock. I didn't know that the fighting could get as terrible as what had happened to Mercutio and Tybalt. The two deaths affect me emotionally because it made me very sad. Especially since Mercutio wasn't even someone that wanted to fight. He just wanted to stop the feud between Romeo and Tybalt. I think this will put a bad reputation on these people because of how out of hand it had gotten. From my point of view I don't really think that the Prince's verdict was fair. I don't think that Romeo should be banished from the city of because he killed Tybalt. Tybalt killed Mercutio so Romeo was just trying to get revenge for his friend Mercutio. If Tybalt had never acted in a violent way then Romeo would of never had to fight him.

I admire Romeo out of all these men even though he is a Montague and I am a Capulet, I do not want this feud to continue and believe both families are equal. The reasoning for admiration for Romeo is because although Romeo was urged on to fight he did not at first, but broke into an outrage after the death of his close friend Mercutio. I admire this because Romeo knew it was wrong to fight but he knew he had to stand up for Mercutio which showed his strong admiration for his friend. This also showed that even though Romeo comes off as an emotional softy, he still has a courageous and raged side to him which makes him the man that I admire the most, he risked his life for his friend, and not to mention the fact that he is quite good looking too. Personally, If I was there during this fight that occurred on this day, I would be quite upset. Mainly because Mercutio was an acquaintance of mine and I had just finished talking to him minutes before the fight. He was a great friend and someone I could talk to, I was heartbroken at the news of the loss of him, and my anger was directed towards Tybalt because he has been an instigator his whole life when it comes to the family feuds. It will take me quite awhile to accept the loss of my friend and forgive the actions of Tybalt, but I have a feeling that my forgiveness will never be given to him. The part that will make me able to look pass this is how Romeo got him back at him because Tybalt had no right to do what he had done. When I heard the verdict of the prince i was outraged! It was not fair that Romeo was punished he was just defending his good friend and wouldn't allow Tybalt to feel superior because he killed a Montague. Romeo killed Tybalt because he committed a bad crime and no one deserves to walk away with that, even though Romeo probably should have gotten Tybalt back some other way, his rage took over him. I think that the prince should've pressed his verdict on the Capulets since Tybalt was instigating the Montagues first and cause the fight, and of course as everyone knows, the Montagues would not stand for it.

Out of all four men the one that i admire the most would have to be Tybalt. There are various reasons why i admire him one being the fact that i am a maid from the Capulets. I know that Tybalt has a very very high temper and gets angry easily but i am very loyal and i honor my Capulet side therefore i am going to stand by Tybalts side and defend his honor and prove my loyalty towards the Capulets. Personally if i were to witness the fight as well as the two deaths that happened today i would probably be sad and angry. Sad over the fact that two innocent men died over a fight that made no sense to me what so ever. I would be angry over the fact that one of the very wise, strong willed and opinionated man on the Capulets was killed by our enemy. It would anger me that when i spoke with the Friar he wanted the fighting and hatred between the two families to stop and now that there was a fight and ending in a death, does not help the hatred it will most likely grow bigger when the news is finally spread to all if it hasnt already. From my point of view i do believe that the Princes decision was very fair, i think that Romeo deserves a death sentence because he was never even involved in the fight and then hes the one that ends up killing Tybalt, i find that outrageous! But i am perfectly fine with his decision so his choice is okay in my point of view.

The fair Benvolio is a respectable gentleman who has a good head on his shoulders. He is steadfast in his strong opinion to preserve the peace of Verona. He maintains the peace on the streets by trying to persuade people to not fight. He only draws his weapon in the gravest of situations. He uses his wit and cunning intellect to keep the peace. I admire him for these keen virtues. He is the peace-keeper of Verona watching over the dangerous streets. Despite his efforts, the brawl that occured today was a true tragedy. These young men lost their cool figure in the heat of a dispute. It seemed like it was another "Montague vs. Capulet" kind of a battle again. These fights are keeping Verona a deadly town. The lives of these two boys were lost today. The young Tybalt and the fair Mercutio were killed. I knew Tybalt to be a rebellious youth. I believe that he always had a disdain for peace, but I never knew that it would escalade to this level of violence.n The brawl today was a true tragedy for the fair town of Verona. Although there is no significant or apparant effect that these deaths have on me, I cannot help but mourn for the lost souls today. These poor trouble kids are gone forever and it is a true shame. The young Romeo who killed Tybalt was banished from the town. This sentence is fair, because it appears as if Tybalt did instigate the fight and also kill Mercutio. This is a true tragedy for Romeo. I knew him to be trouble for the last couple days. I can only imagin how distreed he is.

Out of Tybalt, Romeo, Benvolio and Mercutio, I admire Benvolio most. His ability to stay calm and hold his tongue is remarkable. I know I wouldn't be able to stay out of a fight if provoked. The way Benviolio can see past the ancient feud to keep peace in Verona. Of the four, he is definitely the most mature. Perhaps I'm biased, as I work for the Montagues, but Benvolio is my favorite by far. Mercutio and Tybalt are too rash and quick to fight. Self-control is admirable, but they have none. Romeo is handsome, yes, but indulges in his emotions too much. He doesn't attempt to hide anything. Benvolio's strength is definitely what has kept the Capulets and the Montagues from killing each other in the past. Everyone else is too blinded by hate to see the foolishness in their actions. I just hope the feud ends soon, it's been the cause of unnecessary bloodshed for ages!

I guess I admier Romeo the most, he is a very nice person, he treats people right, and loves with all his heart, he is kind, carring and is true to himself.Rose has alose been my friend since we were young, I have worked for his family almost my whole life, and I have great admoration for them.
Saddely, I dont have to assume I witnessed the deaths, I was there, all I can remember was that as I was walking in town to buy flowers for a new hat the Lady Montague had wanted, when the I saw Tybalt aproch Benveolio and Mercutio, he looked like he was angery, then Romeo came oover, I began to watch, when, Mercutio and Tybalt began to fight, but Romeo tried to break it up, then Trybalt, hurt Mercutio, and he died, I get very scared, but I didnt want to leave, and soon, after Mercutio died, Tybalt came back and Romeo fought, and killed him, then he ran off, everything else is a blur.
I dont really care if Tybat dies but Mercutio as my friend, and I am very sad, I asked if I could take sometime off, I nevr had beofre, but I wanted to go to the Friar to talk to him about this.
Then when O found out Romeo was banashied I wwas very upset, I hated this,it was not fair, they took away two of my friends and two of the nicest people I know, Mercutio is dead and Romeo is gone, I feel sick....

  21. Sienna O'Rourke period 6 I admire Mercuito the most, because he isnt scared to be a little wild (like he was at the capulet party) yet he also isnt scared to speak his mind stand up for his friends as well as give them advice. When I saw mercuitio and tybalt dead on the ground I just didn't know what to say I admired Mercuitio so much I didnt ever get the chance to think what life would be like without him. As far as Tybalt who I dont know very well but he was the cousin of a family the Capulets who I have tailored clothes for, I was only thinking one thought how was this going to saffect the two biggest rival families in all of Verona? i had to stop myself from thinking about it just the slight idea made me sick, i hate fueds! As far as the idea of Romeo being banished I cant stand it! all i think about is young juliet who must be crying her self to sleep, I believed in the two lovers and seeing them being torn apart just made me feel well uneasy. how I hope the two are reunited although my family thinks otherwise.

  22. Out of Tybalt, Mercutio, Romeo and Benvolio, I admire Benvolio the most. I like how Benvolio always tries to think rationally and keep the peace. He doesn't encourage fighting which is a good quality to have. The reason I admire Benvolio the most out of those four is as much about the other three as it is about Benvolio. I think that Tybalt is insane and very dangerous. If something goes wrong he turns right to fighting and violence. Mercutio is crazy and doesn't make a lot of sense when he talks. I just don't like Romeo personally. He is too quick to fall and get over women. He is also too emotional. I feel like when he was mourning over Rosaline, he was just trying to get attention because no one can get over someone they love that easily. I saw the deaths today from my shop. I was shocked that Romeo could go out and kill someone. I didn't think that he had it in him. As for the people actually dying, I really didn't care. It was shocking, but I was not sad by any means. Like I said before, I don't personally like Tybalt or Mercutio. I think they are both insane. If two insane people leave the world, what is the worst that can happen. I am not at all effected by this, so why should I care. I heard that Romeo was not happy with the Princes verdict, but if I was him I would've been grateful. Whether he was avenging Mercutio or not, disturbing the peace is the same for everybody. The one that retaliates is always the one that gets caught. Romeo should be overjoyed that he wasn't put to death and the fact that he would rather be dead is one of the reasons that I am not fond of him.

    Period 4

There are four men, older than me of course that I see walking in town everyday. It’s usually a three against one feud that I see going on, I feel so poor for Tybalt constantly getting into fights with these other Montague men. Tybalt is somewhat of an instigator though, but I respect him for that because he knows how to stand up for himself, when he is the only one fighting for the Capulet’s. Out of these four men, I do admire Tybalt the most because he’s got a strong hardheaded personality, much like my own. When Tybalt gets into a fight, he protects the Capulet name and I think that Lord Capulet should be proud of him for that.

So earlier, I was in town with Massimo, when we witnessed a horrific crime! Forget what I said about Tybalt! Even though he has passed on from this world, I still would NEVER admire a murderer! How dare he kill someone, even if it was for the Capulet name! No one should ever kill, not even a Montague. As I saw Mercutio, Romeo’s friend drop the ground, I had an instant regret for even thinking that I admired Tybalt. He does not deserve the Capulet name. Good Riddance! As I saw him die, I felt proud for Romeo, slaying him with his Rapier, after the stunt Tybalt pulled earlier, he deserved to die.

Mercutio’s death does not affect me as much as Tybalt’s does, only because he is a Capulet. Mercutio’s death was more an emotional death for me, only because I saw him die at the hands of Tybalt, but other than that, it does not affect me. Tybalt’s on the other hand, has affected the Capulet’s, Lady and Lord Capulet are extremely upset, Lady Capulet does not want to talk and Juliet was strangely in a fine mood, and did not think much of it. Nothing much has changed in my social life, maybe it’s because I’m part of the lower class. Financially, my life has not changed at all and physically I do not sense any difference.

I do believe the Prince’s verdict for Romeo was fair, Romeo could have had the death sentence but the Prince did not do that, so Romeo should consider himself lucky. Banishment is long term, when Juliet heard of the news she was more drab than she was with Tybalt, I think Romeo and Juliet are getting a little to close for the Montague and Capulet rivalry to handle.

I admire Romeo the most. I truly know him the best out of all of those men so I obviously admire him the best. He is romantic, kind and always does what he loves no matter what the consequences. It takes a real man to do that. Romeo is so good with words that he doesn't even need to use violence; even his poems show that. Though he is good with words, if he has to he is also swift with a sword. Gosh, I can't seem to find a thing wrong with Romeo; except for the fact that he loves Juliet and not me. Nevertheless, I admire him the most. His passion with everything he does is so strong it is unmatchable by any other man.

The other day I witnessed one of the scariest moments of my entire life. In the town square, Tybalt, the crazy cousin of Juliet, challenged Romeo to a fight to the death. Romeo, being the great man that he is, refused to fight. Fighting does not make you a man; it just shows that you have anger problems. Tybalt continued to taunt Romeo, threatening him over and over, but Romeo wouldn’t fight. Soon Romeo’s friend, Mercutio stepped in because he would not let Romeo get hurt. Tybalt fought Mercutio, he fought so hard and just as Romeo tried to stop them, Tybalt stabbed Mercutio. It was scary. Out of frustration Romeo raised his sword and slayed Tybalt to the ground. He did the right thing; Tybalt would’ve killed him if he hadn’t killed Tybalt.

These deaths do not largely affect me, but that doesn’t mean I am not emotionally scarred. I witnessed two deaths right in front of me. I haven’t been able to sleep. Innocent people are dying everyday. I wish we all would just get along. The prince’s verdict was completely unfair. I may never see Romeo ever again. Romeo was only protecting himself and he shouldn’t be banished. It’s just so incredibly unfair. I may never get the chance to see him again. Ah me.

    Maria:
Personally, I admire Romeo the most. His relationship with Juliet shows how romantic and passionate he is, and how he is willing to risk his reputation with his family for the girl he truly loves. Although he is able to put aside the fact that he is supposed to hate the Capulets, I admire that he is still willing to stand up for his family and friends when they are threatened.

A few days ago, I witnessed a fight that broke out between members of the Montague and Capulet families. Tybalt, Juliet's violent cousin, challenged Romeo to a fight because he was still mad that Romeo had snuck into his family's dance. Though Romeo refused to fight, his friend Mercutio couldn't stand to listen to Tybalt's taunts, and engaged in a fight with him, where he was killed. After that, Romeo got revenge by killing Tybalt. I think he did what anyone would have done, but the Prince didn't think so. He banished Romeo from Verona, and told him that if he ever returned, he would be killed.

The deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt do not affect me directly, but the fact that there have been so many deaths and injuries in such a short period of time upsets me, especially because it is all due to a feud that started years ago.

I do not think that the Prince's verdict was fair. Even though it is preferable compared to death, Romeo does not deserve to be banished for the rest of his life. He was only defending his friend and protecting himself, and if he didn't kill Tybalt first, Tybalt probably would have killed him as well.

I admire Benvolio most of all. His thoughts of the well being of everyone is remarkable. His drive to solve quarrels and brawls before punishment for either family is too severe is courageous. Most of all he's a loyal trustworthy friend. When I heard of bad-mouthing in the streets I knew the Prince meant nothing to them. When I finally got to the mob there were two young men already dead. Two others were walking away in sulkiness, and faces of anger, fear and sorrow. I asked somebody what happened it appeared to be the Prince, in a very distraught state of mind. I asked him if he would like some tea. He declined and told me to fetch him water. While going to a well i over heard the events being retold. I felt terrible for the Prince his own kinsman was slain, but I was fond of Tybalt more. I will disrespected now because of my inability to reach the street and save him was. I may be out of a steady income for months now. I don't think I will ever think of Romeo as the same gentle polite young man anymore, the Prince was too fond of him. I don' think a life for a banishment is fair, Romeo has known the decree of the Prince and is not reprimanded properly.

I admire Benvolio the most because he is always trying to help when there is a problem. Benvolio stays calm and never wants to fight. He tries to stop fights and is very helpful. When Romeo was depressed about Rosaline, Benvolio told Romeo to go to a party with him so he could meet new girls and forget about Rosaline. Benvolio is a very kind and trusting man. If I saw Tybalt and Mercutio's deaths I would be very sad and depressed because two lives were lost, just because of a pointless fight. Tybalt was mad that Romeo went into a Capulet party, so Mercutio stepped in and got killed by Tybalt, so Romeo ended up killing Tybalt. These two deaths don't really affect me because I am in the lower-middle class and aren't close to these families, but it does make me sad that these two life's were taken because of a family party. I think the prince's decision was wrong because he didn't look at the true facts. Romeo is not responsible for the deaths because he was trying to avoid a fight, but two deaths still occurred anyway.

“Alonso Aguirre” – As a man of great dignity, I must say I admire Benvolio the most because he always knows right from wrong and knows how to avoid trouble. He’s the intelligent one who will look for peace at a time of conflict, and I admire that thinking.
Witnessing those two deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt were very impactful. My whole view on the feud between those two families has turned into fear. Small arguments between them led to deaths… That cannot be right. Their conflicts have to be solved… If they keep this up, how will our town stay civilized?!
The deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt don’t affect me so much as emotionally, physically and financially as socially. Since I am not close or familiar with either one of them because of our difference in social class, I did not get affected by it. But the whole commotion has definitely impacted me socially because everyone walks around either depressed or angry or fearful. The tension in this town keeps growing, and for people like me, I just want to carry on my daily activities and not have to worry about some ancient grudge between their families especially when I respectfully take neither side.
The Prince’s verdict was fair at some extent, because Romeo did commit murder and in no place is that okay, but Tybalt (the one Romeo killed) killed someone else as well, so it adds some reasoning to Romeo’s actions because he would not have killed him if it weren’t for what he did. So it must be very unfair for Romeo, but he’s the one who is alive so he’s the one left to be punished in some way.

I admire Romeo montague because he really doesn't care about his and juliets families being rivals. He is trying to do whatever he can to get married to her. I also really like the fact that he isn't violent unless he has to be because he never wanted to fight tybalt but since he stabbed mercuito he had to kill him. I actually witnessed this when I was walking home from work and I thought it was just a verbal fight but then I saw tybalt stab mercutio I went nuts because personally I never would have expected that. But what really surpassed me the most was that Romeo saw that a montague was killed so he took a sword and killed tybalt I would have never expected that from romeo he is the nicest person I have ever met. The deaths of but tybalt and mercutio are not effecting me a lot because I always see the capulets and montagues fighting so when I saw two of them dead I really didn't care because I always see them dead from fighting. I personally do not think the prince made a good choice by banishing romeo because he was just defending his friend and if he were to banish everyone that has killed someone from the montagues and capulets a lot of the towns population should have been banished because they really do fight to much.

  30. Nicolette Forgione Period 3 - "Christina Forgione"

I mostly admire Romeo out of the 4 men because he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him and he knows the difference between right from wrong. He knows how risky it is to be sneaking around with Juliet and marrying her behind his parent's backs. He understands that if he gets caught with her he can be exiled but he doesn't care because that's how strong his love is for her and he would do anything just to be with her. I think that's the main reason why I seem to admire him the most. If I had witnessed the terrible fight that had occurred I think I would be angry and sad at the same time. I would be sad and depressed to find out that two strong-willed men had to die due to something stupid and unreasonable. I would be angry to find out that one of the men on our side had to be killed by Juliet's true love, even though I know he meant well for it. Tybalt was a very good friend to all of us and it's a shame that he had to die the way he did. Mercutio's death didn't really affect me in a lot of ways since we never encountered each other but I still feel bad for him and I feel bad for his family even though they're my enemies. I don't think anyone would want to find out that their relative died in a violent fight. As for Tybalt, his death has deeply affected me and the rest of the Capulets. I mourn for him and I wish that there could've been an easier solution than violence in this village. I don't know whether to agree to the Prince's verdict or not. I feel as if he could've been a little more easier on Romeo but if I look at the point of view on each side I can say that Romeo deserves to be punished for killing Tybalt and causing my family all of this grief. I know it will be hard for him to be without his family but I have faith that he'll get through it somehow and I hope that this verdict will help him learn his lesson that violence is never the answer.

  31. AntonellaDalfonso - I admire Romeo because he is smart, and he will not fight unless he absolutely has to. He is a great friend to Mercutio too, he do anything for him, even risk his life, like he did. I know Romeo didn't want to kill Tybalt he had ko choice; Tybalt would not back down. I happened to witness some of the fighting . I was playing a duet with my fiancé Jake on violin. When we heard shouting. We stopped and saw Tybalt kill Mercutio. Then we saw Romeo tried to reason with him. Then we saw Romeo kill Tybalt. The death of Tybalt does not affect me, considering I think he is a pain to village by causing all the montage and capulet fights. I think it's a good thing he died, but I feel sad for the family that they lost one of their own. I feel bad for Mercutio's family and Romeo. That was Romro's bestfriend. I hate to see poor Romeo upset, it kills me. He talks to me sometimes. So il be here for him if he needs. That is If he's not gonna get in troub. Even though I thought I heard he might now

This morning while walking through town going to the bakery to pick up some goodies to bring over to the lunch with Lady Capulet, I saw a group of teenage boys. I was with my daughter and she said hello to Tybalt who is Juliet's cousin. I recognized the other teenage boys; Romeo,Benvolio, Mercutio and Tybalt. All though I am 100% against the Montague side, I do admire Romeo for who he is as a individual! Romeo is very polite. As we approached the group, I overheard Romeo trying to making peace with Tybalt. This takes a lot out of someone to try to forget about the past and family rivalry and become friends with you very own enemy. I earned a lot of respect for Romeo by trying to do that. My daughter and I went inside the Bakery and came back out to find young Mercutio on the floor. It startled us because we thought they were all having a friendly conversation, and it ended like this in the matter of seconds. We didn't really react to the fact Mercutio was dead because he was on the Montague side however we were surprised this happened in town after the Prince made a rule that if their was fighting on the streets, death will be the penality. Then all of a sudden, Romeo came after Tybalt, and next thing you know, Tybalt was on the floor dead. I no longer have respect for Romeo. I thought wrong, I should go know, every Montague is pure evil. My daughter and I were devastated. Tybalt was like family to us because we are so close to the Capulet family. My daughter and I bursted into tears and rushed to tell the Capulets the unfortunate news. About an hour after the tragic killing or dear Tybalt, I overheard people talking about Romeos punishment. It was said that he will be banished from Verona. This is a fair punishment because its almost as bad as death. I wish the punishment was more harsh and effected the Montague side more. The prince should know by now all Montagues are like that and do not deserve to be in Verona or even breathe the same air as us Capulets.

I admire Benvolio the most because he is very good at keeping calm, and getting others around him to cialm down. He has a very peaceful nature and doesn’ t like to see conflicts. He does everything he can to stop them, and I think this is a wonderful trait to have. After witnessing the deaths of both Mercutio and Tybalt I feel terrible for Juliet. She’s caught right in the middle. Should she stand by her husband(the nurse told me) or mourn the death of her cousin with the rest of her family? She has a tough decision to make. These deaths don’t really effect my life much other than the fact that Mercutio always came to my bakery to stop by and charm his way into getting a free cookie here or there. He was a very nice young man and it was always a pleasure to chat with him. I do not agree with the prince’s decision because Romeo is only a boy and has never done anything wrong in the past. Although the murder of someone else is a rather big sin, he was defending his friend like the loyal person he is. If the prince knew how the whole altercation started, I think he would feel differently. Tybalt provoked Romeo, which isn’t a surprise, but the Prince seems to ignore that factor entirely. God bless Romeo, I hope he’s alright.

I admire Benvolio the most because he always tries to maintain peace in a situation. Whenever Tybalt starts a conflict with any of the Montagues, Benvolio is always the first to stop it. I see him as a mediator and I look up to him because of that amazing ability. However, that ability could not stop the recent deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt. It was bound to eventually happen because Tybalt is so aggressive and quick to start a fight. I witnessed Mercutio defending Romeo after a few taunts from Tybalt. He was quickly killed be Tybalt. The death of his friend enraged Romeo, who immediately avenged Mercutio's death by slaying Tybalt. To be honest I'm quite ecstatic that Tybalt is gone because he meant nothing but trouble, and just watching his unreasonable actions was an annoyance to me. Since I work for the Montagues, I do give them my condolences for their loss, however his death doesn't really affect me in any other way because I never really knew him personally. I believe that Romeo's consequences are completely unethical, because all he did was retaliate after the death of his dear friend. He should definitely not receive punishment of any kind.

Out of these four men, I most admire Tybalt because even though he can get very violent he fights for what he believes in. When the fight broke out in Act III he started attacking Mercutio to perserve his Capulet name and to let everyone know how powerful a Capulet can be. Aside feom killing Romeo's best friend, Mercutio, Tybalt is a very nice man. I can not believe that two great people, Mercutio and Tybalt, had to die. Tybalt was a strong fighter, I would have never thought that a man as weak as Romeo could kill a fighter like Tybalt. His death has affected me a little because I always rooted for him, I know we never met but I can bet that he was a strong-willed young man. The death of Mercutio has not affected me because I never knew anything about his life and what he did. However, I did know that he was a peacemaker and a kind man. I think that the Prince's verdict to banish Romeo was fair because that man Romeo had no right to kill Tybalt. When Mercutio was killed, Romeo should have contacted the Prince and then maybe Tybalt would have been the one who is send to exile, instead of Romeo Montague.

Out of the four men, Tybalt, Mercutio, Benvolio, and Romeo, I admire the young Romeo the most. Thought I have never talked to him personally, I can tell that he is admirable and I sympathize with him over his situation with Juliet. He is risking his life for the girl he loves of three days time. He knows that he is in love with her, and cares about her so much that he is willing to do anything to be with her and doesn’t care what it takes. That is a strong quality in a person that makes them strong and passionate. One day when I was working hard at my job, I witnessed Romeo, Mercutio, and Tybalt arguing and getting ready to fight as Tybalt drew his sword. He swung his sword right at Mercutio When I saw this horrid scene, I gasped in shock. I did not expect Tybalt to actually do such a thing, given the Prince’s warning a couple days ago. Tybalt is the “Prince of Cats” and acts swiftly but I could not believe my eyes. I felt terrible for Mercutio, knowing that he is always a kind, caring and fun friend for Romeo and Benvolio. But when I witnessed Romeo killing Tybalt, I refused to believe that he could do such a thing. Romeo does not seem like the kind of person to go killing people, but Mercutio was his friend. The death of Mercutio and Tybalt have affected my thoughts on Romeo and Mercutio. I felt saddened for Romeo knowing he would be basnished an never to see his love Juliet again. Mercutio was a very good guy, and always tried to make Romeo feel better, and he ended up dying. It affected me socially because that was all everyone was talking about. When people entered the bakery we had good conversations. The Prince verdict was that Romeo be banished. I do not think this was fair, because Romeo was just defending Mercutio after Tybalt killed him. It was an eye for an eye, but Romeo did not start it, which is why he shouldn’t be basished.

I admire Benvolio the most because he is a reliable and peaceful young man. When ever there are fights he always tries to stop them. Benvolio is a good friend to both Romeo and Mercutio. When Romeo wants to be alone, he leaves him alone; when he wants to talk about his problems, Benvolio is always there for him. At first when I saw the fight I didn't know who was in it. When I saw both Romeo and Mercutio were involved I was disappointed and very scared for them because I am very close to them and don't want to see them hurt. The death of Mercutio hit me pretty hard and it was difficult to see Romeo in that much pain. I even felt horrible when Tybalt died because no one should have died over this at all. Financially I haven't had as much business lately because of all the fighting and drama. I think banishing Romeo was a bad idea because I am very worried about him and it didn't solve and problems it just made them even worse for the two families and everyone around them.

I personally admire Benvolio, he has a great heart and he is quite spirited. He is the last one who would agree to physical fighting as a way to solve a problem. He is the peacemaker of the Montagues. I don't really know him that well though, I don't talk to him as much as Romeo, but from when I have, he is a very nice boy. I could only imagine how he felt when 2 people died in front of him, one being a dear friend. My feelings on the deaths were not as extreme as Benvolio's. I mean I felt terrible when I heard Mercutio died, not because I know him but I have seen him around the castle plenty of times and he was Romeo's best friend and I have no idea how Romeo was going to cope, he was definitely going to shut himself out from everyone for a while, so I'm loosing a friend. The only reason why Tybalt's death effected me, was because indeed Romeo was the one who killed him. So obviously poor Romeo was going to be punished somehow. I was surprised he had it in him though, to kill Tybalt of course. When I heard Romeo's punishment, I was both relieved and upset, but I didn't think it was fair. Relieved because he wasn't going to be killed, and a little part of me thought that that was actually going to happen. I couldn't deal if that happened and imagine how awkward the castle would be after that. I was upset because he was exiling Romeo from Verona. So either way, I still lost a friend. I'm honestly scared for Romeo, he has never lived on him own before, he won't be able to survive. The Prince's decision is so unfair, Romeo didn't even start the fight, big mouth Tybalt did and then proceeded to kill his best friend. Personally I think Tybalt should've seen that coming, he deserved it. But obviously the Prince doesn't think so.

  39. Ezio Quinn Period 4- Out of the four men I admire Mercutio the most. When Tybalt was disrespecting the Montague name infront of Romeo, Mercutio was angered that he wouldn't defend his familys name. So Mercutio took it upon his self to uphold his family honor, a trait all should have. With honor, a family has no power. And after seeing him die, along with Tybalt, his killer, it brought me great sorrow. After seeing him stand up for his family's name, and then have to die for it, is a sad thing to see. But because Romeo was able to kill Tybalt means that in the end, Romeo, in the end, held up his familys name. Seeing someone die is something no one show have to see, but two people dead is two people too many. After seeing these deaths, I will have to live with it for the rest of my life, something i do not want to do but will unfortunatley have to. Since Mercutio is apart of the Montague family, I hope that his death will not hinder or end the buisness that Lord Montague and my father have, since he is one of my fathers most important clients. If it does, it will effect my family finacial status greatly. I am not friends with Mercutio, nor Tybalt, making the killings a little bit easier on me, but I wish I was friends with Mercutio. He did a noble deed and had to pay for it with his life.

Out of Tybalt,Mercutio,Benvolio and Romeo I mostly admire Benvolio because of his rationale and motivational actions. Even when he is angered or riled up he is still able to make start decisions. However although he feels it is right to maintain peace, he also knows to abide by what is right, especially his family's honor. I envy his astounding willpower, insight-fulness, and indomitable will. I was at the very place where Tybalt and Mercutio both met their end. The irony present is that in the beginning of the challenge Romeo refused, but in the end he accepted and killed his enemy. I believe that Tybalt deserved his end, however for the past few days I have been grieving over my friend Mercutio. Sometimes when I think about him I get really down on myself, because he didn't deserve what happened to him. Maybe I could have intervened in the duel or perhaps alerted the authorities, but instead I just stood there. Frozen in shock. This event caused me to be a knight. I was very persistent as a squire and I know that I am now ready. Their deaths have pushed me pass the breaking point and gave me the extra kick i needed to become a knight. I have been wasting my money on pastries and food as a way of escaping my depression. If i don't stop I will be in deep trouble financially. I have stopped my daily walks with Romeo and I believe that i need some "alone time." My daily jogs enable me to blow off some steam. I don't really know what to think about the Prince's ruling. I know that he easily could have executed Romeo, but because of the death of Mercutio and the fact that Romeo didn't start the fight enabled the Prince to exile Romeo. To an extent i don't think it's fair that Romeo was persecuted never the less he is lucky to be alive.

Out of the four men I would have to say Benvolio is the one I admire most. Although Romeo is a dear friend of mine, Benvolio has the best personality. He is a peaceful and calm person that everyone should be able to admire. Benvolio is always the one who tries to stop fights from happening. He also tries to remain mutual in an argument or anything else going on. These are traits that Benvolio has which I admire. If I had witnessed the two deaths of Tybalt and Mercutio I think I would be speechless. Although I don’t really know either of the young men it was a tragic event that occurred. I would feel very sorry for whoever else was there witnessing the tragedy and I wouldn’t know what to do or who to tell. Like I said before I’m not that close with Tybalt or Mercutio but Tybalt’s death did affect me. The only reason it affected me and my life is because sadly Romeo is the one who killed him. Unfortunately, I knew something bad was going to happen to Romeo. He is one of my best friends so I was extremely sad knowing that I would probably never see him again.

Of the four men I admire Mecutio the most. This is for many reason, including his bravery and his loyalty to his friends, protecting their name and safeguarding them. When Tybalt started harassing Romeo and Romeo wouldn't fight back, Romeo was starting to be categorized as a less manly person who knew they would lose or die in a fight so they just wouldn't try. This obviously wasn't the case because Romeo just didn't want to fight his new cousin in law, although he was the only one that knew this. So rather than scar the Montague name Mercutio decided to jump in and fight the battle himself. I thought that this was very noble and brave and that it takes true loyalty to uphold your name until your death. Mercutio was loyal and brave enough to risk his life which, in the end he lost anyway, to go and fight his friend and cousins battle. I as a duke wouldn't think more highly of one of my soldiers if they had done this. As for the deaths I was not very happy to see this happen as I am a Capulet. I was shocked that the prince would let such ongoing happen in his kingdom. I am also worried that the Montague's are getting too rowdy. I think there may be an uprising against the Capulets soon and someone will need to stop it. I am saddened by the death of a fellow Capulet but at the same time am happy that his death was avenged because a Montague died as well. I feel as though I will need to have my guards step up protection because there are many new soldiers afoot, I will need to be more careful of what I say and where I say it. I am feeling very cautious at the moment. I feel that the prince did the least of what he should have done. I think that he should have sent this Romeo to be killed rather than just exiled. As to show an example that the Capulets are a force to be reckoned with. I think that if we killed this man then the violence would die down for a while out of fear.

I’ve all ways been very fond of Benvolio and the way he always tries to find a peaceful solution but is also not afraid to bring out his sword if needed he’s the kind of man who will always be there for his friends and have their back in the toughest situations no matter how dangerous. I was down in my store making some armored gloves for a knight who had his stole by a small kid. And from the corner of my eye I see Tybalt trying to pick a fight with Romeo but for some reason Romeo wouldn’t fight him. I don’t know why he would fight Tybalt but Mercutio decided to step in and fight Tybalt for Romeo. That was when thing went very wrong Tybalt and Mercutio start swing their swords at each other until Tybalt got a stab right into Mercutio heart killing him I couldn’t believe that Tybalt just murder Mercutio the princes cousin! Tybalt would have been sentence to death if Romeo did step in and then killed Tyablt witch I couldn’t believe the little love struck Romeo killed the brute fighter Tybalt. I was in pure shock of what was happing. When Tybalt and Mercutio died emotionally I was in disbelief that one day there both alive and well the next gone forever….. Whenever I craft a sword now I’ll be thinking of Tybalt and his fighting spirit, and when I craft a shield I’ll be thinking about Mercutio and his protection of his friends. And to add on to that the banishment of Romeo 2 deaths and a banishment, Romeo shouldn’t of been banished Tybalt was going to die anyways for kill Mercutio all Romeo did was speed up the proses.

I enjoy the way Benvolio carries himself bc all he wants is peace and I like the fact that he tries to solve problems and not instigate them. More people should be like Benvolio bc he is a nice guy and he actually respects people and if the world was like him it would be a better place. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Tybalt drawing swords with Mercutio. Then I saw them talking and I saw Romeo try to stop the fight but he only made things worse. I saw Tybalt stab Mercutio and blood squirted out. Then I saw Romeo with anger kill Tybalt because he killed his best friend. I will be thinking of these two because their not afraid to fight for their families. I think Reo shouldn't Hve been banished because Tybalt was at fault for killing his best friend and I think Romeo was just trying to protect himself from further harm

  45. Isabella Stevens.Period 4- I admire Benvolio the most because of his neutral behavior throughout the scene. Being a Capulet, i should admire Tybalt for his courageous and his overzealous bravery, however, he was wrong with starting a fight. Mercutio and Romeo both fought and although Romeo refused to at first, his anger got the best of him, which led to him murdering my cousin, Tybalt. Although i am a Capulet, i do not take sides in the feud between the Montagues and Capulets. I am proud of Juliet for following her heart and marrying Romeo despite from others opinions, however, i know the powerful hatred the two families have for each other. The family hatred is coercive towards the opinions we may uphold towards one another because of the two familys feud, however, its not the last name which is important, its the inside that matters. Benvolio trying to obtain the peace maker and remaining neautral during the fighting scene was mature, responsible and beneficial. If Benvolio did not stay neutral the fight could've gotten way out of hand and more severely harmful than it resulted in with the two deaths it left us already. The death of Tybalt was heartbreaking because he is a cousin of mine, who i have had great love and affection for in a family type manner. Tybalt and i have been close throughout the years of growing up, but his short temper towards the Montagues was rediculously uncalled for especially during unimportant times and without reasons. Mercutio did not effect me much emotionally, however, it did socially. I wanted to get to know him because i personally adore Romeo. Romeo is a great, charming young man who will and has been great towards Juliet. Mercutio, Romeos best friend, has always stuck up for Romeo and had his back at all times. Knowing that Romeo had a close friend who was very important to him and caring, i would've loved to converse with him. I think the Prince's verdict was unfair because Romeo was just looking out for his friend. Tybalt killed Mercutio, which angered Romeo. Instead of banishing Romeo, he should've consequenced him in another way, which would've been less severe as the one recieved now.

I admire Romeo the most, not only for his charm but for his words that he puts into action. He is a very caring and passionate man whom listens to his heart and fights for what he believes in. I witnessed the fight between the Capulets and the Montagues which ended in a death for both families. It was very scary, I was in shock to see that there were 2 deaths, I would of never suspected either families to actually kill one another. Mercuitio and Tybalts deaths hurt everyone emotionally, even Romeo after he killed Mercutio, it affected his future with Juliet which is all he wanted and now it is ruined. The deaths affect me emotionally because I was friends with both of them and they both came into my bakery, things are going to be so different around Verona without the two. I think that the Prince's decision of banishing Romeo is so stupid it bothers me gratefully. Romeo killed Mercutio for a reason, the reason that Mercutio killed Tybalt, and Romeo was simply fighting for his friend whom couldn't fight back for himself since he was already dead. Romeo did was what right, I wonder if Mercutio wasn't killed, if the Prince would of banished him, Romeos actions wouldn't of made a difference, Mercutio would of probably have been banished.

I admire Benvolio the most. He is a good man who looks out for both of his friends. When Mercutio and Tybalt began to fight, he got in between them and risked his life to stop the violence. I had witnessed the fight between the capulets and montagues, and it was quite heartbreaking. Mercutio was a good friend of mine and to see him slain before my eyes was devastating. I didnt care for the death of Tybalt that much. I didnt really like him and i feel it was kinda like karma for him killing mercutio. I believe that the prince's verdict was very fair, as he did warn the town the day before that another brawl will lead to the death of those fighting. However Romeo got lucky and was only exiled instead of being executed.

  48. Fiorella Scarano(pd.4)….I admire Benvolio the most surprisingly. This is a very controversial statement since you would think I would admire Tybalt because he is part of the Capulet family. My admiration for Benvolio is a huge secret and must not be spoken of. I admire him because he talks, breaths, and advocates peace. Unlike Tybalt, Benvolio prefers to not slain and fight with his rapier. I was weeping terribly, more than I would usually weep for two men lay dead in Verona’s streets and the reason was unknown. Dear Benvolio claimed that Tybalt started the fight and for the Montague honor, Mercutio fought in the place of Romeo. This did not sound like a fallacy since Tybalt would do such a thing. Tybalt’s death did not affect me physically, socially, or financially. I’ve never served for him since I am a maid to Lady Capulet and Juliet for the most part. I was upset that he was dead, but I am not close to him nor did I want to be. Mercutio is on the Montague side so I don’t feel any pity except for the fact he was a young man trying to defend the honor of his side. That is the only reason however, I shed tears for him. I do not think the Prince’s verdict was fair because Romeo killed a man so he should die like the Prince originally said.

I admire Mercutio the most because he is part of the Montague family. Another reason why I admire him so much is because of his sense of humor and how he is always there for his best friend Romeo. I had been talking a walk along the streets of verona as I do everyday when I saw a crowed of people in a circle chanting woods that i just could quit make out what they were saying. I walked over to the crowd to see I fight stared by Tybalt occurring. before i knew it Mercutio dropped to the ground. He was dead, i began to tear up because i loved him dearly but i had remained clam. Romeo rose in front of me, screened at the top of his lungs and killed Tybalt. I was shocked that he would do such a thing, but with the anger built up inside him, he had no choice but to let it out on the cause of his friends death. The death of Mercutio effected me greatly because he was my friend, the clown of the Montague house, the one to turn a frown upside down. We don't have someone to bring joy to us in a moment like this. On the other hand Tybalt deceives to die for the misery he brings to the Montagues each and everyday. Even though I love Romeo i believe the prince's choice was fair because he did kill someone even though that man had killed someone first.
